The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin's son Syed Shahid Yousuf from his agriculture department job, 10 days after he was arrested by the NIA in a terror-funding case.

China's foreign ministry has there was "absence of consensus" to declare Pak-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist, a move being pushed by India at the UN. India's ministry of external affairs said it was "deeply disappointed".

US secretary of state Rex Tillerson will visit Myanmar next week. Tillerson's spokeswoman said he would visit Naypyidaw on November 15 for talks on the "humanitarian crisis in Rakhine State and US support for Burma's democratic transition."

Kevin Spacey faced fresh allegations of sexual harassment in Britain on Thursday, with an ex-employee accusing his old theatre of turning a blind eye to the Hollywood star's misconduct.Former workers at The Old Vic, where the US actor ruled the roost as its artistic director from 2003 to 2015, told The Guardian newspaper that the London theatre ignored allegations of groping and inappropriate sexual behaviour. "We were all involved in keeping it quiet. I witnessed him groping men many times in all sorts of different situations," one said, on condition of anonymity.
