Watch: Facebook removes video of Farrakhan comparing Jews to 'termites'

Facebook, on Thursday, removed a video posted on Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan’s account in which he was seen comparing Jews to termites, reports said. 

The social media hub removed the video due to a violation of Terms of Service but it was still posted on Twitter and has received over 2 million views. 

Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, tweeted a video of himself giving a speech on Sunday in Detroit to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Million Man March.

Farrakhan had posted the video to his 960,000 followers on Facebook with the following caption: “To members of the Jewish Community that don’t like me. Thank you very much for putting my name all over the planet. Because of your fear of what we represent, I can go anywhere in the world and they’ve heard of Farrakhan. Thank you very much. 

In the video, Farrakhan claims that he is not an anti-Semite, as some critics contend. Rather, he says that he is “anti-termite.”

“So when they talk about Farrakhan, call me a hater, call me anti-Semite. Stop it. I’m anti-Termite. I don’t know nothing about hating somebody because of their religious preference,” Farrakhan claimed in the video.

Farrakhan’s Facebook account received a “strike” and has not been suspended.
