Video: 'Unprecedented weather' in Australia's Queensland causes bushfires

'Unprecedented weather' in the Australian state of Queensland said Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, sparked 40 bushfires across the state on Monday, as emergency services tried to put containment lines around the fire zones.
"As we know there has been unprecedented weather in Queensland at the moment and this entire week we are going to see heat wave conditions right across Queensland. Around Rockhampton there has been averages the likes of which we have never seen in Queensland before. And these conditions are worse than what we saw in 2009 in Queensland. There are currently 40 wildfires that are happening right across Queensland as we speak."
Palaszczuk added that conditions were worse than those of 2009, when fire burnt through more than 11,500 hectares of bushland, and this entire week would see heatwave conditions across the state.
