The campaign for United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday released a new video on Twitter where Marvel Comic Universe’ supervillain Thanos was replaced by Trump in the now-famous climax scene of Avengers: Infinity War.

The original clip where Thanos says “I am inevitable” before snapping his fingers to destroy half the universe was replaced by Trump snapping his fingers to destroy Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat leaders into dust.

The video was released hours after Democrats launched two articles of impeachment against the President stating that his “re-election is inevitable”.

“House Democrats can push their sham impeachment all they want.President Trump's re-election is inevitable,” the tweet said.

Trump campaign also tweeted an “Important update” regarding the status of the tweet, declaring that the efforts of “humourless liberals” have been unsuccessful in having the tweet deleted from the platform.

“IMPORTANT UPDATE! Bitter, humourless liberals are soliciting foreign interference in the 2020 election. So far, their efforts to delete this tweet have been unsuccessful,” the new tweet said.

The creator of Thanos Jim Starlin expressed to The Hollywood Reporter that he initially felt violated at the use of his creation by the President to “stroke his infantile ego” and looking forward to the time the “national nightmare” will come to an end.

"After my initial feeling of being violated, seeing that pompous fool using my creation to stroke his infantile ego, it finally struck me that the leader of my country and the free world actually enjoys comparing himself to a mass murderer," Starlin said.

"How sick is that? These are sad and strange times we are going through. Fortunately, all things, even national nightmares, eventually come to an end," he added.
