UK business minister Alok Sharma tests negative for coronavirus

Britain's business minister Alok Sharma has been tested negative for the novel coronavirus. He posted a statement on Twitter regarding his test results. 

Alok Sharma was taken in for testing after he was found ill in the parliament. And now of after his tests results came out he tweeted,: "Just had results in and my test for #COVID-19 was negative."

"Huge thanks to everyone for their really kind messages over the last 24 hours and my grateful thanks also to the parliamentary authorities and Speaker for their support yesterday," he added. 

The 52-year old was seen dizzy and sweating during a debate on the Corporate Insolvency and Governance bill on Wednesday. 

“Alok Sharma began feeling unwell when in the Chamber delivering the second reading of the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Bill,” a spokesperson for the minister said.

“In line with guidance he has been tested for coronavirus and is returning home to self isolate,” the spokesperson said.
