Two hairstylists in United States' Missouri potentially exposed 140 clients to coronavirus when they worked for up to eight days this month while symptomatic.

One of the two stylists may have exposed 56 clients at the same salon.

Another hairstylist with coronavirus at the same salon potentially exposed 84 customers and seven coworkers.

Both stylists had symptoms while at work, officials said. They worked from the second week of May till Wednesday.

The salon where the employees work has been closed and it's currently undergoing additional sanitising and deep cleaning.

More than 96,000 people have died from coronavirus in the United States, where the number of confirmed cases is more than 1.6 million. Missouri has nearly 12,000 cases of infections and more than 650 deaths.
