Trump's national security adviser probed for Russia links: WSJ
Follow UsUS President Donald Trump's new national security adviser, Michael Flynn has come under the scanner of US counterintelligence agents for communication links with Russian officials, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.
It was unclear what the findings were and if the investigation was still under way, the WSJ reported.
Flynn's acceptance of payment from Russian news agency RT to attend a gala event in Moscow raised eyebrows last years. He was seated next to Russian President Vladimir Putin
Reports also claim that Flynn spoke to Russia's ambassador to Washington, Sergey Kislyak, several times the day before former president Barack Obama announced strict measures over Russia's alleged cyber attacks, interfering in the November 8 election.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer defended Flynn, saying he had spoken with Kislyak on Christmas wishing him Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
