Trump visits mask factory without a mask as his job approval rating sinks

US President Donald Trump recently toured a mask distribution center in Pennsylvania. The masks were the reason the US president visited the site with most White House staff around him were wearing masks but Donald Trump chose to do without it.

Trump even decided to let go of safety goggles and when he was questioned about how murderous the virus is and why he decided to not wear a mask, the US president said: "I have never lost anybody to the flu, nobody ever said they had died."

The point of wearing a mask is not just to simply to protect yourself, the point of having the president wear one is to encourage the nation to do the same. Donald Trump missed out the little detail perhaps he had the approval ratings on his mind.

Trump's optimism may be tilting the battleground in his favour but his ratings on the coronavirus response are sagging rapidly.

Joe Biden has held consistent leads in most national and swing-state polls. America's faith in Trump's handling of the coronavirus has steadily sunk.

According to a poll conducted by SSRS, an independent research company, at least 54 per cent Americans continue to say that the US government is doing a poor job of preventing the virus from spreading.

56 per cent respondents say that the US government is not doing enough to address the growing death toll with 57 per cent Americans admitting limited availability of testing and 58 per cent Americans fear a potential second wave of cases this year.

However, facts don't work much in an election season, scandals and conspiracy theories do and Donald Trump seems to have found another, he has unleashed a tweet storm with a new and unfamiliar hashtag "Obamagate".

At least 126 tweets have been put out by the US president with the hashtag.

It's a conspiracy theory that had been floating around for at least a year. It now has a US government stamp on it.

According to this unproven narrative, Barack Obama along with his vice-president Joe Biden and some intelligence officials planted a theory that Trump was colluding with Russia in the 2016 polls and framed members of Trump's inner circle among those framed according to the theory was Michael Flynn, the former National Security Adviser(NSA) of Donald Trump.

Flynn is the man who pleaded guilty in December 2017 of lying to FBI investigators during the Mueller probe.
