Palm Sunday church bombings

Two suicide bombings took place at St. George’s Church in northern Egypt, and at Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, the principal church of Alexandria. At least 45 people were reported killed and 126 injured. Amaq News Agency said the attacks were carried out by a security detachment of ISIS.

Berlin attack

A truck rammed into a Christmas market in Berlin, leaving 12 people dead and 56 others injured. The incident is the deadliest terrorist attack in Germany since the Oktoberfest attack in Munich in 1980.

Ansbach bombing

A suicide bombing outside a wine bar in Ansbach, Germany injured fifteen people, leaving four in a serious condition. The explosion occurred near the entrance of the Ansbach Open music festival with around 2,500 people in attendance. Reportedly, the suicide bomber was refused entry to the festival.

Nice attack

A 19-ton truck was used as a battering ram to massacre dozens of people on the French Riviera. They were celebrating Bastille Day at the time in the southeastern city of Nice, France.

Orlando nightclub shooting

49 people were killed and 53 wounded in an attack inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in the American city of Orlando. The shooter was shot and killed by Orlando police officers after a three-hour standoff.

Paris attack - Bataclan theatre massacre

A mass shooting occurred at the Bataclan theatre where the American band Eagles of Death Metal was playing to an audience of around 1,500 people. Initially, the audience mistook the gunfire for pyrotechnics. The attack lasted 20 minutes. Survivors escaped via the emergency exit onto the street or made their way to the roof, with some taking refuge in toilets and offices. The band's members escaped without injury.

Paris attack - Stade de France explosions

Three people died and several others were injured when two suicide attacks and a bombing occurred near the country's national sports stadium, the Stade de France, in the suburb of Saint-Denis. A friendly match between France and Germany was going on at the stadium with then-president Francois Hollande and 80,000 others watching.

Two homemade bombs detonated near the finish line of the annual Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring several hundred others, including 16 who lost limbs.
