Watch: 'Supreme' bullet train gets launched in Japan
Japan has launched a new high-speed bullet train. The brand new Shinkansen N700S, also known as Shinkansen 'Supreme', will run between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka after debuting in the year 2020.
Shinkansen has been rolled out by the Central Japan Railway (JR Tokai) and will operate on the Tokaido Shinkansen line.

Shinkansen test runs are likely to begin this month.
The N700S boasts of a trendier, sleeker look and less noise when compared to the previous models.

The train will have 16-car bogie and is estimated to be around 11 tons lighter than the older variants. The train will run at the maximum speed of 300km per hour.
Shinkansen will have all passenger seats equipped with power sockets for charging electronic devices and enhanced leg space for passengers travelling in first class.
