A US lawmaker also asked Sundar Pichai that it's not a little man was sitting behind and operating on what would be shown to the users.

Pichai was also asked in the event that if he had ever ordered any of his employees to manipulate search results.

To this, the CEO responded saying that it was impossible for one person, or even a group of people, to do that because there are so many steps in the process.

He explained that the results shown in the search engine were presented based on popular keywords and algorithm and are not at all intervened by humans.
