A suicide car bomb detonated near the parliament of Somalia and the interior ministry in Mogadishu on Sunday.

Reports say three have been killed in the incident and one is injured.

Reuters quoted a police officer of Mogadishu, Nur Mohamed, as saying that "the bomb went off at the heavily guarded Sayidka checkpoint."

The incident reportedly left scooters overturned and ruined cars.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

However, news reports suspect al-Qaeda linked Al Shabaab militant group.

The Al Shabaab group often targets Mogadishu with such attacks.

On Thursday as well, 14 people were killed and 10 were wounded in car bomb blast outside a Mogadishu hotel.
