Poland scraps income tax for young workers

Poland has introduced a new law in the country to keep a check on the rising brain drain.

The law aims at scrapping income tax for nearly 2 million young workers and will come into effect this week.

Poles under the age of 26 earning less than 85,528 Polish zloty ($22,547) a year will be exempt from the country's 18 per cent income tax starting August 1. 

The country has been experiencing increasing brain drain since the past 15 years after it joined the European Union.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki claims that the law will bring new opportunities for the young citizens of the country.
