'The Paris Agreement isn’t working out so well for Paris. Protests and riots all over France. People do not want to pay large sums of money, much to third world countries (that are questionably run), in order to maybe protect the environment,' Trump said.

Trump seemed to mock French President Emmanuel Macron as Paris went into lockdown Saturday with Yellow Vest protesters clashing yet again with police.

Police fired tear gas at the protesters and arrested hundreds of them.

This is the fourth weekend of protests which broke out over a hike in fuel taxes.

The hike has been rolled back but the protests have continued.

"The Paris Agreement isn’t working out so well for Paris. Protests and riots all over France. People do not want to pay large sums of money, much to third world countries (that are questionably run), in order to maybe protect the environment. Chanting 'We Want Trump!' Love France," Trump tweeted Saturday.

The bit about the protesters chanting "We Want Trump" is fake news, and has been pointed out to Trump before but he tweeted it again Saturday.
