World-renowned celebrity talk-show host Oprah Winfrey recently gave some advice to the 2020 US presidential candidates. In a television interview with CNN's, Van Jones Winfrey stated, "I will say to whoever is going to run for office, do not give your energy to the other side."

"Do not spend all your time talking about your opponents. Do not give your energy to that which you really don't believe in. Do not spend an ounce of your time on that," she added.

Winfrey had previously made clear that she will not be contesting in the US Presidential elections to be held in 2020. During the interview, she also noted that "the noise about running for president moved me so humbly and deeply," adding that "It means that you have somewhere in the work gained the people's trust."

Rumours of Winfrey contesting elections made headlines earlier this year, however, she was more than quick in clarifying that she does not have any such intentions.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Winfrey in response to host Kimmel's question about whether she would run had said, "Where do I look into the camera? I am definitely not running for president."
