Mexican plane crash: Cellphone video by passenger shows chaos inside plane

At least 97 people were injured when an Aeromexico-operated passenger jet crashed soon after the take-off from Mexico's Durango airport. Two days after the crash, a dramatic cell phone footage shot by a passenger was circulating on social media shows the chaos inside the plane.

In the video recorded by Ashley Garcia people can be heard screaming and crying during the crash. 

In the one-minute video, people can also be seen running in the field as they try to escape with their lives.
 
Resident of Chicago, Ashley Garcia posted the video on Twitter with the caption, "Today I faced my biggest fear. Nothing can describe how I felt in that moment but I have no one to thank except God, for giving me the opportunity to come out alive and well. I will forever be counting my blessings."

The mid-sized jet was almost full, with 97 passengers and four crew members aboard, when it came down at around 4 pm local time during a hail storn in northen Mexico. 

TV images showed the severely damaged body of the plane after it came to rest in scrubland and a column of smoke rose into the sky.

No casualty was reported however, among the 97 injured two are reported to be in critical condition including the captain.

The plane made an emergency landing about six miles (10 km) from the airport, Alejandro Cardoza, a spokesman for the state's civil protection agency, said on local television. Other authorities said the crash was closer to the airport.

Aeromexico said on Twitter that flight number 2431 was an Embraer 190 bound for Mexico City when it crashed.
