China Pakistan Economic Corridor which aims to develop stronger ties between Pakistan and China has become a menace for the locals.
The corridor goes through Pakistan's Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir's Gilgit-Baltistan.
The CPEC is being implemented against the will of the locals in Pakistan.
Although the project promises development and Jobs, it has received widespread opposition from the local people.
The people inhabiting along the route have not been consulted in the construction of the corridor. Neither have they received any compensation for the exploitation of their land.
Also, the increasing number of Chinese military occupation in Balochistan is worsening the already existing exploitation in the region.
Pakistan has been witnessing similar protest from minorities who revolt against the suppression being inflicted on them.
