Macron calls Australian PM's wife 'delicious'
Story highlights
French president Emmanuel Macron left his Australian audience wondering after he called Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's wife "delicious".
"Thank you and your delicious wife for your warm welcome, the perfect organisation of this trip," he said.
"Thanks to you and Lucy, thank you very much, Mr Prime Minister," he added.
Twitter confirmed the Faux Pas.

Speculation, however, is rife that Macron was referring to the word délicieux, which can be used to describe a very tasty meal.
Macron is considered to have a strong command over the English language.
