"We have to accept that our lifestyle is also a big challenge for the climate. 'Throw away' culture and consumerism have made the climate challenge more serious. It is important for Mission 'LIFE' to become a global mass movement," Modi said.

"In 2014, there were a few hundred registered startups in India. Today, their number has crossed 60,000 with more than 10,000 of them registered in the last six months. More than 50 lakh software developers are working in the country today," Modi said.

"The ability of innovation and capability to adopt it and spirit of entrepreneurship will give our global partners a new 'urja' (power). So this is the right time to invest in India," says Modi

"India is sending more than 50 lakhs software engineers, more than 50 Lakhs software developers are working in India. India is world number three having maximum Unicorns. More than 10,000 start ups have registered during the last six months," says Modi at WEF 2022 event

"During Covid pandemic, we have seen how India is going through the vision of ‘One Earth, One Health’ and helping many countries providing vaccine and saving crores of people," Modi said.

"India is giving the world a bouquet of hope. It includes - trust on our democracy, technology which will empower the 21st century. Indian temperament and talent," Modi said

"History has proved time and again the confrontation does not solve problems, it only invites catastrophic consequences," Xi said, according to an official translation of the speech which was streamed online.

“Global inflation has increased. We need to keep industrial supply chain smooth. For that, we should make the generally acceptable rules for digital economy,” Xi said.

“As the momentum of the world is either progress or regresses, without contradiction nothing will exist. We need to learn from long history cycles and foster new opportunities. But first, we need to embrace cooperation and jointly defeat the pandemic,” Xi said.

“In the context of ongoing Covid response, we need to chart out new pathways for global economic recover. Eco-globalisation is the trend of the time. We should remove barriers, not erect walls and seek integration,” Xi said.

"A giant ship is brave enough to brave the storm. Pandemic is proving to be a protracted one. It exerts impact on health and economy. Holding each other back and shifting blames, will only shift our objectives," Xi said.
