Libya: At least seven killed in suicide bomb attack in Benghazi
At least seven killed and eight injured in a suicide bomb attack in Benghazi targeting Libyan National Army (LNA) on Sunday.
Islamic State claimed reponsibilty for the attack which took place in the district of Ganfouda, one of the last areas holding out against the LNA.
All those killed where part of the LNA, a medical source from Benghazi's main hospital, Reuters reported.
The LNA is loyal to eastern commander Khalifa Haftar who has been waging war in Benghazi for more than two years against Islamists and other opponents.
The fight is part of a broader conflict in Libya, following the uprising that overthrew Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
The attack comes in after LNA gained control of building along the coast west of Ganfouda after heavy fighting.
