Looks like Emerson's classic quote is the mantra Bezos lives by and closely follows to achieve all the success that he now sits on

Amazon chief Jeff Bezos shared a motivational quote on his Twitter handle on Saturday saying that it has been stuck to his refrigerator door for years now and he sees it every day.

Bezos' shared a picture of a quote by Emerson which reads, "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."

"Love this quote. It’s been on my fridge for years, and I see it every time I open the door. #Emerson," Bezos tweeted.

Looks like Emerson's classic quote is the Bezos life mantra, something he lives by and closely follows to achieve all the success that he now sits on.

Ralph Waldo Emerson was a 19th-century American essayist and writer who pioneered the Transcendentalist movement which focussed on the inherent goodness of people and nature.

The followers of the movement believed that that society and its institutions have corrupted the purity of the individual. The transcendentalist thought preaches the idea of a self that is self-reliant and independent.
