Italy's police released CCTV (closed circuit television) images of the moment a motorway bridge collapsed in the northern port city of Genoa.

The video filmed from two different angles shows heavy rainfall and people going about their business minutes before huge chunks of concrete plummet to the ground and dust obscures the camera.

At least 43 people were killed on last Tuesday when a 200-metre section of the Morandi bridge gave way in busy traffic, plunging vehicles and debris to the ground 165 feet below.
