Iran's foreign minister said that the country is willing to resolve differences with Saudi Arabia. Mohammad Javad Zarif noted that the country desires stability in the region.

Mohammad Zarif's comments were aired during an interview to a Pakistani channel yesterday.

Zarif, at present, is on a three-day visit to Islamabad which will come to an end today.

Pakistan-Iran close ties were harmed by recent regional alignments and Pakistan's tilt toward Saudi Arabia. Iran was categorically perturbed by Pakistan's assignment to head a Saudi-led 39-nation Islamic military coalition to combat terrorism.

Tehran had previously expressed its willingness to better ties with Saudi Arabia when Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited Iran during the Yemen crisis.
