As 'Black lives matter' movement took over the world, a lot of companies had to rethink their campaigns and company policies, to be morally correct towards the Afican-American community.

Following the same process, Johnson & Johnson, a medical consumer goods company, has decided to stop the production and sale of skim whitening creams.

These products, as reported by Johnson & Johnson, are more popular in Asia and the Middle East.

In India, products from Johnson & Johnson's range 'Clean & Clear Fairness' are very popular. News that it would pull its Neutrogena Fine Fairness line, available in Asia and the Middle East, was reported earlier this month.

The company had been facing heat about their products and was being blamed for promoting racial inequality through their products. Clearing the air, a spokesperson said, "Conversations over the past few weeks highlighted that some product names or claims on our dark spot reducer products represent fairness or white as better than your own unique skin tone. This was never our intention – healthy skin is beautiful skin."

However, the products will be on shelves till stocks last, the company said.
