Gunmen open fire at cafe in Egyptian capital, three dead

Two masked gunmen opened fire on a cafe south of the Egypt capital, killing three people and wounding around five, security officials said on Sunday. 

The attack took place at night in a village called Al-ayat which is about 50 kilometres away from Cairo. 

The reason behind the attack remains unclear, however, it is being said that it was a criminal incident and not terrorism. 

According to the state newspaper, two gunmen on motorcycles barged into the cafe and opened fire before leaving. 

Security officials are currently investigating the matter and are on a lookout for the attackers.
