As the night in Los Angeles (morning in India) progresses, Golden Globes 2018 inches towards becoming a highly politicised entertainment event where actresses and actors alike have come out to stand against Hollywood's culture of the dominance of power over the weak, inequality or gender parity issues and sexual misdemeanour.

While the 75th annual Golden Globes awards have been successful in offering a platform for 'speaking up', there is also something else that caught our attention and it's a 'selfieccino' or your selfie on a cup of coffee.

A reporter covering for a leading US publication posted a photo of her cup on Twitter for followers to see how award shows these days innovate and bring changes according to the dynamic taste of the audience. A selfie on your cup of coffee is the best example of that.

Coming back to the real mood of the night, it is quite something for Golden Globes to live up to its expectation of serving as a platform for those who wanted to voice their concerns of Hollywood turning into a big sham. The enormous support for Time's Up campaign shows that celebrities and famous faces are ready to accept and change.

Time's Up campaign is one that helps anyone in the industry who feels threatened and at risk of work and dignity owing to uncalled for sexual favours. Under the campaign, there is a Legal Defence fund that can be used to fight against anyone or anything powerful.
