Story highlights

Around 30 per cent of the cases are in America with more than 1,150,000 cases there now. With well over 67,000 people dead.

Today, 187 countries and regions in the world are reporting well over 35 lakh cases of the coronavirus. Close to 2,50,000 people are dead.

Here is the latest from the global hotspots:

Around 30 per cent of the cases are in America with more than 1,150,000 cases there now. With well over 67,000 people dead.

Spain has more than 217,000 cases

Italy eased its restrictions today with more than 210,000 cases there.

The United Kingdom has close to 190,000 cases. France has more than 160,000 infections.
 
In India, lockdown restrictions have been eased in some areas. But the cases have surged with more than 40,000 confirmed cases now.

More than 29,000 patients are being treated and over 11 thousand have been discharged. More than 1,300 people have died.
