This Gryffindor has come of age and left Hogwarts officially. Actor Matthew Lewis, who played the nervous, fumbling Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, is now a married man.

The actor married his girlfriend, lifestyle blogger Angela Jones, in Italy during the Memorial Day weekend.

The 28-year-old actor announced his wedding with a sweet message on Twitter. Lewis wrote, "Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming."

Incidentally, Harry Potter was instrumental in getting them together. The actor who shot to fame playing Neville in Harry Potter films met his future wife Jones at an event at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where Jones was working at the time. They have been dating since 2016.

Lewis' last work was the 2018 assassin pastiche Terminal starring Margot Robbie and Simon Pegg, and the British ITV series Girlfriends.
