Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole announce split
Another Hollywood celebrity couple bites the dust as Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole announce split after dating for more than two years. The couple took to Twitter to issue a statement regarding their breakup.
They jointly wrote: "Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."

The two met during TV show X-Factor, 10 years ago, when Liam auditioned with Cheryl as one of the judges. Liam was merely 14-year-old at the time. Their closeness grew after Liam and his bandmates (One Direction) performed for one last time as a group on X-Factor.
The two even welcomed a baby boy in March 2017. They named the child Bear Payne and were quite happy when they announced the news.
Things started to turn sour between the two when Liam became busier than usual. His hectic work schedule led to Cheryl staying at home with baby Bear.
At The Brit Awards 2018, Liam dismissed any rumours of their fallout as he told in an interview: "The funniest thing was a week before we were getting married. The next week we’re splitting up. And the thing for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere in the middle. You know, we have our struggles — like of course, I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is. But we go through them together as a family and that’s the most important thing for me. Tell me a relationship in the world that doesn’t go through a spot like that?"
Also, Cheryl tweeted in defence of Liam when he was accused of cheating with one background dancer. She had said, "Oh stop. No one cares who’s been speculatively arguing or not in their relationships. Use your platform to put something productive in your columns. I opened a centre this week that could help thousands of youth!!!! .... ..Oh and your “stunt” theories are just ludicrous and a bit weird."
