The latest dinosaur film from the famous franchise, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is expected to make anywhere between $140-150 million (approximately Rs 1000 crore) in its US opening weekend. While the number is huge, it is still a major drop from Jurassic World’s 2015 debut. The 2015 debut broke the opening weekend record with $208 million.

According to initial tracking reports, which can obviously fluctuate as the date of release comes closer -- the film is currently showing a 94% ‘definite interest’ from audiences in the US.

The sequel soon-to-release will have Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s characters back to Isla Nublar -- where they must rescue the dinosaurs before a volcano erupts. The film is helmed by JA Bayona.

The key to this film also lies in its horror element that the film’s trailer highlighted well.

The film will release in US on June 22. However, the film will be out on June 6 in countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, and the Philippines. On June 7, it will release in India, Croatia, Greece, Hong Kong, Russia, Spain, Thailand, and Ukraine, among others. The next entry of countries like the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Austria, and Bulgaria will get the movie on June 8.
