Premium fashion brand Versace will stop using fur in their future collections if the brand's creative director, Donatella Versace is to be believed.

Sister of the founder of the brand, Gianni Versace, Donatella while speaking to a leading daily in an interview said that she is over fur and that she doesn't feel right using the product in the name of fashion. She said, “Fur? I am out of that. I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion."

She added, “It doesn’t feel right.”

This comes at a time when other fashion houses like Calvin Klein, Armani, Ralph Lauren have already ditched fur and have stopped using it in their collection.

In another update, Donatella is also looking for a new creative director in order to relieve her of the pressure and stress. She said, "Somebody came up to me recently and said, ‘there will be a huge crisis if you leave – it will be a fashion disaster!’ Can you believe that?...Yes I am Versace. But also Versace needs to mean change. And it needs to be an opportunity for others to express themselves.”

After Gianni was assassinated, the brand was held together and was given a new meaning by Donatella. She is today one of the most influential figures in the fashion industry.
