Gigi and Bella Hadid pose naked on British Vogue cover, face harsh criticism
The supermodel Hadid sisters, Gigi and Bella make way to the cover of latest British Vogue magazine which sparked a controversy today.
The duelling cover stars for its March issue this week, were seen posing naked sitting by each other's sides.
British Vogue's editor-in-chief Edward Enninful conceptualised this idea of bringing the sisters together, star alongside wearing the same clothes (or not). While on the cover, the two can be seen wearing the same glossy and shiny Versace golden coloured gown, on the inside they were seen in a naked portrait shot by photographer Steven Meisel.
The inside image shows the sisters in a black-and-white image posing nude with their legs wrapped around each other, both blankly gazing into the camera.
Sisters reunited. As the most in-demand sisters in the fashion industry, it's more common to see @bellahadid and @gigihadid apart. However, the sisters reunited for the March 2018 issue of @britishvogue cover story. On sale this Friday. Stay tuned for more exciting announcem… pic.twitter.com/TIRxVT32Gn

Gigi, who is the eldest of the two said, "She’s one of the only people I’ll get aggressive for. She makes me so proud. I would do anything for her."
Soon after the images were posted on Instagram and Twitter, social media users expressed their distaste in the photo.
One person commented: "What happened to Bella's face?" while another expressed disappointment.
I can't believe Bella's surgeon worked so hard on her face to Vogue destroy it by excess of Photoshop

Bella is unrecognisable. “New Vogue” same old beauty standards.

Everyone is so right on both counts. First, I don't like this trend of models posing naked when it is supposed to be about fashion, i.e. clothing! Secondly it is definitely inappropriate to have sisters posing naked together.

Must you fetishise them? Talented women. No need to be naked to pique our interest.

Let me just say this also. I adore @Edward_Enninful ‘s work and have so much respect for him. I was so looking forward to seeing what he does with Vogue.. but I am truly disappointed with the Hadid sisters cover
