There’s good news for James Bond fans as Daniel Craig is set to return as the badass spy for fifth and final James Bond movie. As fans rejoice at the news, there is an even greater joy for the actor himself who will be taking home a mammoth sum of money for starring in the film.

According to a report in a leading magazine, Daniel will pocket 50 million pounds for the new movie, which is Rs 450 crore. The film is likely to have a run for the duration of two hours and 20 minutes. This would automatically mean that the 50-year-old star will be earning 3,57,000 pounds per minute of screen time. Now that is some James Bond style steal!

His previously reported salary for the last Bond film, “Spectre” dulls in front of this money. Reportedly he took home 37 million pounds.

In a statement, Eon’s Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement on Friday: “We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond. We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and are thrilled that Universal will be our international distributor.”

The star will start shooting for the film starting in December and go on for five months. The makers have planned to release the film in autumn next year.

The film will be directed by Danny Boyle, who won the best director Oscar in 2009 for “Slumdog Millionaire”.
