It's been in the making for a while. Pop star Freddie mercury's fascinating life and his rise to stardom with his band Queen is now going to be on the big screen. Aptly titled Bohemian Rhapsody, the film directed by three directors- Bryan Singer, Tom Hooper, Dexter Fletcher- stars Mr Robot's Rami Malek as Mercury.

The film was first announced in 2010 with Sacha Baron Cohen in the lead but in 2013, Cohen left the project citing 'creative differences'

The film ran into further troubles when director Bryan Singer was fired after he took a long break due to 'health reasons'. Dextre Fletcher stepped in Singer's place.

The film aims to capture the fascinating rise of the band in the early 1970s and how Mercury rose to superstardom. Spread across 15 years, the film also captures Mercury's attempt at establishing a solo career and how the band came together again in 1985 to perform at Live Aid concert.

The trailer shows how the band had its own charm and was a cult back in the 1970s-80s. Bohemian Rhapsody is slated for a November release.
