Billboard Music Awards: Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift are big winners of the night

Sunday night saw the coming together of the biggest names of the music industry to celebrate the annually held Billboard Music Awards. 

Singer Kelly Clarkson opened the night with a tribute to the victims of Friday's mass shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas. She said, "I'm a Texas girl and my home state has had so much heartbreak over this past year. Apart from important social messages at the event, artists including  John Legend, Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande rocked the night with some chest-thumping music. Korean pop band BTS became the first-ever Korean act to perform at the ceremony, debuting their new single "Fake Love” while Janet Jackson won the Icon Award, gave her first TV performance in nine years and delivered a mashup of her hits.

Held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the night awarded the best musical talent of the year. Here is the complete list of winners across different categories.
