Don't fight in front of the kids: Pope Francis

Pope Francis has said it is okay for couples to fight — heck it's normal — but he added that they should not do it in front of the children. 

Francis said couples should not fight in front of their children because of the anguish it causes them. 

"It's normal for spouses to fight ... It'd be strange if they didn't. Do it, but so that the children don't hear it or see it." AP quoted Francis as saying. 

Francis made his comment on Sunday during a ceremony to baptise 27 newborns. The exercise is an annual one and fills the Vatican's Sistine Chapel with newborns, their parents and godparents. 

Francis told the gathered parents that they had taken on the important new job of transmitting their faith to their children, a job that begins at home.
