COVID 19: Cases cross 3.96 million, death toll increases to 273,000

The virus has infected nearly 210 countries and has taken more than 273,000 lives.

Some countries have managed to contain the spread of coronavirus. However, many others are still struggling with the deadly virus.

As of Saturday, more than 3.96 million people have been reported to be infected by the deadly coronavirus globally. 

The virus has taken nearly 274,000 lives from 210 infected countries.

One of the worst-hit countries is the United States of America with nearly 1,294,527 positive cases and 77,238 deaths.

The United Kingdom, too, has had a high death toll of 31,241 out of 211,364 total cases.

While Spain has recorded a total of 240,711 cases till date, it is now set to ease down restrictions of lockdown from Monday as the daily death toll has decreased to 179.

Russia celebrated Victory Day amidst the lockdown as the total number of positive cases increased to 187,859 and 1,723 total deaths.

Total number of coronavirus cases rise to 174,791 in France, including 25,987 deaths.
