Car explosion kills three in Pennsylvania

Three people were killed on Saturday night after a car exploded in downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Some residents near the scene have been asked to evacuate and are being sheltered nearby.

Police said that the incident appeared to be isolated and that there was no ongoing danger to the public.

Although victims had not yet been identified, the perpetrator appeared to be among those killed in the explosion, news agency Reuters reported.

An investigation regarding what exactly caused the explosion has been launched.
