The Brazilian Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the Bolsonaro government to resume publishing coronavirus data after it had stopped making news of COVID-19 pubic.

The Brazilian government had announced on Saturday that it was shutting down the website which displayed the COVID-19 information including record of fatalities and infection amid public outcry.
The Supreme Court gave the government a 48-hour deadline to begin releasing figures after the government's decision was challenged in court by the Opposition. The court ordered the government to "fully re-establish" publication of coronavirus records.
Bolsonaro had said the shutting down would help to improve coronavirus reporting with cases and deaths to be reported in a 24 hour period only.
The Brazilian media had begun publishing their own COVID-19 figures amid the confusion adding to the problem.
Brazil has the second-highest rate of COVID-19 infection in the world after the United States with 707, 412 cases and over 37,000 deaths.
The Bolsonaro government has been underfire for its handling of the crisis even as the president himself has been accused of taking the pandemic lightly.
