Now that Golden Globes is over and this year's first mega awards night was able to leave an impression with Hollywood stars coming out to support victims of abuse, dressed in black for the red carpet, the onus is now on Baftas 2018 to take the baton forward.

The nominations for coveted UK-based awards are being announced today and movies "The Shape of Water", "Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri" and "Get Out" are leading the race.

One category that won't be announced is the EE Rising Star Award which is voted for by the public. The contest is currently between actors Daniel Kaluuya, Florence Pugh, Josh O’Connor, Timothée Chalamet and Tessa Thompson.

The EE British Academy Film Awards will take place on Sunday, February 18 at the Royal Albert Hall.
