Rescue underway after Typhoon Lekima lands

Rescue and repair work is underway in east China's Zhejiang Province after super Typhoon Lekima landed there early Saturday, bringing about life-threatening rainstorms and floods. In Shanzao Village of Yongjia County, a Lekima-caused barrier lake burst killed 22, with 10 still missing, as of 20:00 on Saturday. The rescuers are continuing to race against time to spot and deliver the trapped people. A landslide blocked the rivers with a maximum 10-meter water level, trapping 120 villagers. Many of the houses along the river banks were damaged.
