India successfully launches earth-observation satellite

Indian space agency successfully launched an earth-observation satellite from its southern spaceport of Sriharikota on Wednesday. India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C46 (PSLV) carried the 615-kilogram satellite, RISAT-2B into space and injected it into the low earth orbit of 555 kilometres with an inclination of 37 degrees in a pre-dawn mission.
