India records 1,79,723 new covid-19 cases, drive for precautionary doses begin

India has reported nearly about 1,80,000 cases of covid-19 infections as the country has now begun administering precautionary doses to certain priority groups. Now, the number of cases have risen by 13% in comparison with yesterday, the country has been reporting over 1,00,000 cases of infections over the course of the last four days and so far India has also recorded 4,000 cases of omicron variant.
