Decorated 'float houses' fill the Mardi Gras void in New Orleans

In the weeks leading up to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, revelers would normally attend dozens of parades rolling on city streets, replete with colorful floats and marching bands. But in November last year, the city announced there would be no parades in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. So residents and visitors have come up with a way to reimagine the celebration a bit more safely.
