Blue Mountains tourism slumps without tourists from Asia

The Lunar New Year period is usually the busiest time of the year for tour operator Scenic World in Australia's iconic Blue Mountains, with many Asian tourists visiting to ring in the new year. But in 2021 with borders closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and still recovering from the 2020 bushfires, the normally bustling cableway, the world's steepest railway and glass-floored skyway carriages are almost empty.
