Blood drive in Thousand Oaks overwhelmed with hundreds of donors after shooting

The fatal shooting of 13 people that shocked residents of Thousand Oaks, one of the safest cities in the United States, also inspired hundreds of people to stand for hours Thursday in the suburban community to donate blood for the victims. The blood drive at a Catholic high school drew a line of at least 400 people waiting to get inside a single trailer where they would have their blood drawn.
