Seven of the Chinese batsmen fell for ducks as Nepal's Sandeep Lamichhane recorded a stunning figure of three for four in four overs.

Chinese cricket team suffered a record defeat at the hands of Nepal after being bundled out for mere 26 runs in 14.5 overs in the ICC regional qualifier clash for the upcoming World T20 in 2020.

Put into bat, seven of the Chinese batsmen fell for ducks as Nepal's latest sensation, 18-year-old legspinner, Sandeep Lamichhane, recorded a stunning figure of three for four in four overs to take his tournament tally to 20 wickets.

His spin partner, Basant Regmi also finished with stunning figures, picking up three wickets for just five runs in his four overs.

Only one Chinese batsman, Hong Jiang Yan, reached double figures - making 11 from 27 balls, having made scores of 1, 0, 1 and 1 in his first four outings of the tournament.

Nepal openers didn't have to burn a sweat as they accomplished their winning target in just 11-balls with opener Binod Bhandari hammering 24 off eight deliveries with the help of three fours and a six.

The victory puts Nepal on top of Asia Region Qualifier Group B, having secured five wins out of five games, and this hammering puts them ahead of Singapore on net run-rate. Both sides have qualified for next year’s WT20 Asian Finals.

Meanwhile, China find themselves at the bottom having lost all their qualifier games, with their last game of the regional qualifiers against Malaysia on Friday.
