Ivanka Trump has arrived in Seoul, South Korea to attend the closing ceremony of one of the biggest sporting events, Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The concluding ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 25. US President Donald Trump's daughter and senior White House adviser Ivanka Trump arrived at the curling venue in Gangneung on Saturday (February 24) to cheer on the United States against Sweden in the men's final.

The event, whose theme revolves around promoting peace, started with the arrival of a northern guest, Kim Yo Jong, younger sister of North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un. The team USA currently stands at rank fourth with 21 medals in total.

Earlier, Ivanka watched American Kyle Mack win a silver medal in the men's snowboarding jump final. She is also scheduled to attend the closing ceremony.

The United States announced on Friday (February 23) with Ivanka in South Korea that it was imposing its largest package of sanctions to pressure North Korea to give up its nuclear missile program, and President Donald Trump warned of a "phase two" that could be "very, very unfortunate for the world" if the steps did not work.
