Watch: Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni responds to Rishabh Pant's IPL warning

Mahendra Singh Dhoni gave a befitting reply to Rishabh Pant. 

A few days earlier, India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who plays for Delhi Capitals in IPL, had teased former Indian captain MS Dhoni is a promotional video that went viral. 

Pant had warned that the popular "Captain Cool", will lose his coolness in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League. 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings, has reacted to the video and gave a fitting reply to Pant. 

Dhoni said, "Jab mai maidan me utra tha, toh aise hi sochta tha. Ajaa Rishabh, wicket k peeche toh mai hi rahoonga." 

He ended the video by saying, "Game dikha, name bana." 

The English translation goes as, "When I was young, I had a similar attitude. Common Rishabh, I will wait for you from behind the stumps."

"Show your game and earn a name for himself, " Dhoni added.

Earlier, Pant tweeted, "Mahi Bhai, Sab aap se seekha hai, toh aap ke saamne game toh dikhana banta hai! #VIVOIPL mein milengey - Kya kehte ho." 

In the viral video, he can be heard saying, "Mahi bhai na guru ke samaan hain. Agar Mahi bhai nahi hote na, pata nahi mai wicketkeeper-batsman hota, nahi hota."

"Lekin is baari unki team pe main aisa barsoonga ki captain cool, cool nahi rahenge. Mahi bhai tayyar rehna, game dikhane aa raha hoon," Pant added. 

Ahead of the twelfth edition of Indian Premier League, all the franchises and players are busy in promoting their teams. 

IPL 2019 will start from March 23 where the defending champions Chennai Super Kings will kick off the season against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore team. 

Delhi Capitals will play their first match on March 24 against Mumbai Indians.
