Watch: Alexander Zverev's hilarious response to Yorkshire accent

Alexander Zverev has found a new love for the Yorkshire accent after surviving the second round at Roland-Garros. He defeated Lajovic in sets and move forward to the next round of the competition.

German star Zverev seemed relaxed and confident during his post-match press interaction and particularly enjoyed hearing the Yorkshire accent.

A reporter asked a question and Zverev gave an unusual response, he said, "Where you from, buddy?" and after that the conversation became interesting, watch the video:

Alexander Zverev: "Where you from, buddy?"

Reporter: "Do you want to guess? Yorkshire in England."

Alexander Zverev: "Nice. If I ever make a tournament there I'm coming just because of that accent. Love it. I didn't understand a word you're saying, but it's not important."

Reporter: "You clearly enjoy your tennis."

Alexander Zverev: "Not as much as your accent, buddy. I love that."

Reporter: "I will come to all your press conferences now."

Alexander Zverev: "I love that."

German world number three Zverev found himself in deep trouble when trailing by two sets to one against Lajovic, but the Serbian ran out of gas as it finished 2-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.

But Zverev moved into round three for the second time, where he will play Bosnian 26th seed Damir Dzumhur, as he looks to become the first German man to win the title since 1937.
